My Approach

I guess you are here because you want to improve your health and sense of wellbeing.  Whilst complimentary medicine does not offer a silver bullet to health it does empower you to be in charge of your wellbeing and provides you with the tools to improve your health naturally.

I would define wellbeing as waking up refreshed and happy, having clean uninterrupted energy throughout the day, a strong immune system to fight off infections, a healthy digestive system, and being pain free for a starter. In other words, you need both physical and emotional health to feel well as each supports the other and neither is complete on its own.

So how can we work towards this goal. First of all, good health will always be work in progress.  It’s not something you do once and can then put away for the rest of your life. However, you do not need to change your whole lifestyle to see results.  Small changes can make significant improvements to your wellbeing.  The pillars of good health are Sleep, Food, Movement, Mental Strength, and Treatment as and when needed, and these are the elements we will work on together to put a health plan in place for you.

During your first consultation we will discuss your health concerns and goals, and your medical history.  I may also ask you to complete a food diary before the consultation and you will need to bring in any medical test results, and details of any medication or supplements you’re taking.

We will work together to understand the underlying causes and/or areas for improvement. I use herbal medicine as the main form of treatment, hence your health plan will include herbal medicine (alcohol based herbal tinctures, herbal powders or teas).  The plan may also include essential oils, flower remedies as well as advice on eating and exercise.  We will also discuss any changes to elements of your lifestyle, for example type of exercise or sleep habits.
